Valerio Adami<\/strong>, an Italian painter born in Bologna on March 17, 1935, is famous for his paintings of pure, acidic flat tints of color, encircled by a thick black line reminiscent of the spirit of comic strip drawings.<\/p>\n

In the late 1960s, Adami<\/strong> established himself as one of the representatives of the Nouvelle Figuration movement. He developed, and later definitively established, his formal system: his figures are made up of sharp, colorful shapes framed by a thick line. After moving to Paris in 1970, the Mus\u00e9e d’Art Moderne devoted an exhibition to him. The Centre Georges Pompidou did the same in 1985, followed by the Grand Palais in 2008.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
